What: 2025 Substandard Structure Investigations class for Municipal Police and Code Officers; Elected Officials; Board Members; County Officers; Prosecutors; Health Departments; Firefighters; and others needing an understanding of ways to deal with substandard structures When: April 28, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

TIDRC classes are particularly useful for city and county staff having overall environmental enforcement responsibilities as well as local code enforcement officers and registered sanitarians; local peace officers; local health department officers and Local Health Authorities; specialized environmental enforcement officers; fire marshals and firefighters; prosecutors; as well as other city and county staff and elected officials needing a good understanding of the approaches available assure a clean and pollutant-free community.
Planned topics will include: Policy and practice needed for successful Enforcement context, identifying substandard structures using your ordinance, Statutory Authority for Substandard Structure Abatement, Lis Pendens Lien, using the 27-Step Abatement Process, properties with no owners, case preparation and presentation to BSC, abating a mobile/manufactured home and report writing!
