What: 2026 Solar Code Training for Code and Fire Officials When: June 8 and 10, 2026 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Lunch is provided. Where: William Pitstick Conference Room

Cost: $175 per attendee. Includes box lunch. Due to limited seating, preregistration is
required. CEU: Approved for 6.0 contact hours of CEU by the International Code Council ("ICC"). Materials needed: 2026 NEC (NFPA 70), 2024 International Residential Code, 2024 International Fire Code, NFPA 855 (at your option).
Code seminar for Code & Fire officials, electrical and solar contractors, electricians, Professional Engineers, and others involved in the electrical power and solar energy industries.
Planned topics will include: Photovoltaic systems, energy storage systems ("ESS") for industrial, commercial, and residential use; load management; "smart" service panels. New Material in the 2026 Seminars: 2024 I-Code changes from the 2021 edition applicable to solar energy systems and related equipment, NFPA 855, 2025 Texas Laws: SB 1202 and 1252, large-scale and container-based Energy Storage Systems ("ESS") and more.
Due to
significant and ongoing changes in the solar and electrical industries, particularly involving energy storage systems ("ESS"), 2026 presentations have been substantially updated from past years. Aspects of tutorial and entry-level material from previous years has been removed to create time for the new information. Subsequently, 2026 seminars may not be suitable for inexperienced attendees.
Two identical sessions will be held on June 8 and 10 to accommodate staff schedules. You need attend only one.
