EPA Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund Program Public Listening Session for Upcoming Zero-Emissions Technologies Grant Competition

Under the $7 billion Zero-Emissions Technology Fund Competition, the EPA will award competitive grants to states, Tribes, municipalities, and eligible nonprofit entities. Grantees must direct all funding to provide financial and technical assistance to enable low-income and disadvantaged communities to deploy or benefit from zero-emission technologies, in alignment with the Biden-Harris Administration’s Justice40 Initiative. This funding will prioritize delivering financial and technical assistance to projects that deploy residential and community solar, associated storage technologies, and related upgrades. Additionally, this program will support the creation of high-paying jobs. The EPA expects to award up to 60 grants through this program; EPA may revise this allocation as it proceeds with program design and development of Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFO).

The EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) team will host a public listening session about the $7 billion Zero-Emissions Technologies grant competition on March 22.

Listening Session Format: You must register in advance using the Zoom link below to attend. Participants are invited to share 3-minute prepared remarks. The host will get to as many speakers as possible in the time allotted. The session will be recorded and posted to the GGRF website.
